Acer Introduces Multiple New Mobile Lines HighlightingTouch Controls

At a press event today in New York, Acer introduced a handful of new notebook and tablet lines that highlight touch controls while pushing the boundaries on how our devices work and function. Here’s a quick overview of the new products revealed:

Aspire Aspire R7

Featuring a repositioned keyboard and a high-definition touchscreen that can flip, reverse, lie flat or float, the R7 was designed to create the best touch and type experience. The R7 sports a 15.6-inch Full HD 1920×1080 touchscreen display, an Intel Core i5 processor, 6GB of memory, a 500GB hard drive, a 24GB SSD and a full-size backlit keyboard. It also includes a volume control button, HDMI port, SD card reader, audio jacks, three USB ports, WiFi, Bluetooth and a convenient converter port supporting VGA, RJ45 and USB. The R7 has an MSRP of of $999.99 and will be available in stores and online May 17th.

Acer Aspire P3

Great for productivity at work or home with high-performance technology and keyboard, the Acer Aspire P3 delivers fun and functionality in tablet mode with IPS display and intuitive 10-point-multi-touch. Weighing only 3.06 pounds and measuring 0.77-inches thin, the Acer Aspire P3 is available immediately with an MSRP of $799.99.

Acer also announced the advertising campaign would feature world famous DJ Superstar Tiesto with a promo for the P3

Acer Iconia A1

Sleek design, slim size makes it perfect for one-handed use, while the quad-core processor delivers faster media performance on this Android tablet with a 7.9” display with ISP technology.  The A1 features a mediaTek Quad Core 1.2GHz processor for faster media performance, a 5MP camera, and a 7-hour battery life. The Iconia A1 with 16GB capacity will be available in June with an MSRP of $199.99.
