Nintendo released one of their trademark Nintendo Direct conferences today. Putting the focus more on the 3DS this time around, Nintendo unleashed a slew of announcements sure to make any gamer salivate:
Mario Golf: World Tour will feature online features with community integration, similar to that of Mario Kart 7.
Mario and Luigi: Dream Team will hit store shelves here in North America on August 11th. New footage was also shown.
A new installment to the Yoshi’s Island franchise is heading to the 3DS.
A new installment to the Mario Party franchise is headed to the 3DS, with over 80 different mini games, some of which will make use of AR cards.
Pikmin 3 finally has a release date and it’s August 4th. There is a new flying pink Pikmin as well.
Earthbound will be heading to the virtual console later this year.
Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D will have an all new easy mode for those that struggled with the Wii version.
And finally (and perhaps most exciting of all), Nintendo has announced an all new game to the Legend of Zelda franchise. The game will be set in the same universe as A Link To The Past, yet will be a completely new story.
