Great news for any PlayStation 3 owners out there that recently had there console bricked from a flawed PlayStation 3 update, Sony today launched their fix and instructions on how to restore your console.
If you updated your PlayStation 3 Software to version 4.45 and the XMB™ (XrossMediaBar) menu is not displayed, please follow the steps below to manually update your PS3’s Software and restore your system’s functionality.
The fix requires you to download the new 4.46 update on a computer, transfer it to a USB device, boot yout PlayStation 3 into safe mode, and manually apply the update.
