UPDATE: Konami just announced via Twitter that the PC steam version of The Phantom Pain will be delayed until September 15, while console versions are set to become available September 1.
Konami seems to want to give their fans a helping hand with the early leaked announcement of two Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain special editions, one of which features a half-scale model of Snake’s bionic arm.
Come September 1, fans worldwide will be able to snag the Day 1 Edition for $59.99, which contains the following:
- Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom’s Pain
- Physical map
- In-game items – Snake’s Blue Urban Fatigues, the Wetland Cardboard Box, the Adam-ska Special Handgun, a silver Personal Ballistic Shield, and an XP boost for online play.
Fan’s who purchase the Steam version of the Day 1 edition will receive everything except the physical map.
If the more hardcore collectors are looking for a bit of substance, they’ll be able to go a bit bigger and pick up the Collector’s Edition for $99.99, which features everything featured in the picture above (listed below):
- Half Scale Replica of Snake’s Bionic Arm
- Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom’s Pain
- Exclusive Packaging
- Collectible Steelbook
- Physical map
