Predator and Quitalities Coming to Mortal Kombat X

Quitters (and Arnold Schwarzenegger) beware! NeatherRealm Studios recently announced both another addition to the roster and a brand new online feature for the upcoming Mortal Kombat X.

In an effort to curb mid-game quitting, NeatherRealm studios has unveiled their brand new ‘Quitality’ feature, wherein matches in which a player leaves before the conclusion will end with their character’s head exploding and an instant loss. This bold punishment is “about making the winner look better,” according to NeatherRealm developer Derek Kirtzic, as quoted by Polygon. While this may affect those who unintentionally leave a match due to connection issues or emergencies, the developing team still “wanted to glorify the winner.”

Along with the brutal Quitalities come an even more gruesome announcement. Along with Jason Voorhees, who was revealed on March 13 (yes, it was a Friday), it now looks like Predator will be joining the ranks, as indicated by an Xbox Store listing. The “Ultimate Hunter” will first be made available to those who purchase the Mortal Kombat X Premium Edition, which includes Voorhees, Predator, and two “Klassic Mortal Kombat characters,” according to the store listing. Official art or details regarding fatalities or brutalities have yet to emerge.

Any guesses on who the two “Klassic” combatants are? Let us know in the comments!
