The re-release of Ultra Street Fighter IV for the PlayStation 4 got a new trailer and some good news, today!
The “ultimate version of the world’s greatest fighting game” is set to release digitally on May 26, and while it will only be making an entry onto the PlayStation 4, players sporting the PlayStation 3 arcade sticks will be happy to know that they are still compatible with the remastered brawler.
On the matter of cross-compatibility with PS3 peripherals, Gio Corsi, Sony director of third-party products, had the following to say in PlayStation’s blog:
“Ultra Street Fighter IV will support PS4 FightSticks, of course. But we’ve also included Lab Zero’s drivers so that USFIV will support licensed PS3 FightSticks as well.”
and:
“A few of you hardcore Street Fighters out there said that there was minor input lag in the controls of Ultra Street Fighter IV for PS3. Well, don’t worry: We’ve eliminated it to make the PS4 edition the ultimate version on any platform!”
Ultra Street Fighter IV will launch May 26 as a digital download for €24.99. Fans of the series should also be sure to keep their heads up regarding Street Fighter V, which will be making it’s way to PlayStation 4 and PC.
