The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Passes 1 Million in Pre-Orders

Polish studio CD Projekt Red recently announced that their upcoming installment to the Witcher series, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, has already exceeded 1 million pre-order sales worldwide.

With it’s near-approaching May 19th release date and over 200 pre-release rewards under its belt, The Witcher 3 has generated an increasing amount of hype (and revenue) for CD Projekt Red. Starting the day after its launch, the game will provide 16 DLC packs that will be made free to every owner of the game across the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.

According to CD Projeckt Red co-founder Marcin Iwiński:

We’ve crossed the 1 million pre-order milestone and it’s all thanks to you guys! We would like to thank all the gamers for their trust and support. This is the last stretch and we’re pushing hard – over the last two weeks, we’ve increased performance on all platforms and started working full speed on the expansions, Hearts of Stone & Blood and Wine,
