Hello Games Breaks Silence; “Foundation Update” Incoming

No Man’s Sky’s initial release was met with mixed reviews and a wave of backlash from disappointed fans. Now, after being silent on the matter for over two months, the developers behind the ambitious project, Hello Games, have released an update.

According to an official post on their site, the next patch has been labeled “The Foundation Update,” and with it comes the introduction of base building as well as the initial structures for future updates to come.

According to the post:

“The discussion around No Man’s Sky since release has been intense and dramatic. We have been quiet, but we are listening and focusing on improving the game that our team loves and feels so passionately about.”

The update doesn’t have a release date, only that it’s coming this week. Time will tell if this can garner good will from gamers.

And while Gizorama didn’t review the title, I did write about my overall time with it right before I got to the end. I haven’t touched the game since, but the promise of more to come has my interest piqued.
