Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games revealed their new project, Evil Dead: The Game, with a surprise announcement trailer at the 2020 Games Awards. The first ever Evil Dead game will be available in 2021 for PC, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
Based on Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell’s gory lore, Evil Dead will pit players against the denizens of the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis, featuring enemies from “The Evil Dead,” “Evil Dead II: Dead by Dawn,” “Army of Darkness,” and “Ash vs Evil Dead.” Groups of four players must explore, craft, and maintain healthy levels of fear as they search for artefacts to seal the portal and banish the demons back to their realm, while others can step into the cloven feet of the Kandarian Demon, hunting down Ash and the gang while possessing lesser demons and the survivors themselves.
With voice acting from Bruce Campbell, a variety of skill trees, and more than 25 weapons (including the the Gauntlet and Boomstick!), Evil Dead: The Game promises to pay homage as the premier game to the gore-soaked franchise.
