In PUBG Season 9, we’re raising the stakes and taking you to the high altitudes of South America. Welcome to our new dynamic map, Paramo! With Paramo, we wanted to try something we’ve never done before with our previous maps. Paramo introduces a dynamic world system which produces different landing and looting experiences for each match, equating to fresh and unique gameplay each time you drop in.
Players can look forward to cities and landmarks being relocated with each new match. More importantly, you’ll have to keep an eye out for our new environmental hazards. Watch out for the dangerous streams of lava flowing from the active volcanoes around Paramo. Walking and driving vehicles in the lava will deal a massive amount of damage, so keep your wits (and feet) about you.
Throughout the match, keep your eyes peeled and watch the skies for helicopters. These helicopters will be carrying care packages with helpful loot and exclusive highland themed items. If left untouched, helicopters will drop off these care packages just outside of the play area. They can also take damage, which means you can shoot it. After enough bullets, the care package will drop early. Other new items to loot on Paramo include critical response kits (CRK), which can revive a downed squadmate in one second flat.
Lastly, look out for “Secret Room Keys.” You know what they say…if there is a key, there must be a door. We’ll let you do the digging to find out what these unlock.
Of course, a new season brings a new Survivor Pass. Earn Paramo-themed rewards and skins by completing missions in the new Survivor Pass: Highlands! This season has been shortened to two months, and the pass reflects that with only 50 levels required to complete it. Additionally, you can earn up to 1,000 G-Coin by completing missions and collecting the G-Coin rewards throughout the premium version of the Survivor Pass. By collecting all of the G-Coin rewards, you will recoup the entire cost of the pass!
