The only good bug is a dead bug, and what better way to celebrate that sentiment than with a sneak peek at The Aristocrats’ new action RTS, Starship Troopers: Terran Command. Publisher Slitherine Ltd. will be hosting a brief glimpse into the gritty, bug-stomping gameplay on their Twitch Channel starting at 9am PST.
Starship Troopers: Terran Command roughly follows the same storyline as the 1997 blockbuster across 21 main story missions. Players start out as a green foot soldier participating in the dreaded assault on Klendathu and work their way up to commanding massive forces to take on the bug scourge on Kwalasha. Promising dismemberment and plenty of blood splatter, Starship Troopers: Terran Command attempts to capture the same grimdark mood of a future threatened by massive arachnids.
In addition to commanding infantry squads armed with Morita Assault Rifles and MX-90 Fragmentation Grenades, players can also take charge of Rocket Troopers, Engineers, and Marauder Mechs to hold the line. With an emphasis on tactical decision making, the real-time skirmishes against the ceaseless insect horde will demand precision and strategy over head-on, gung-ho charges.
