Developer NeocoreGames announced a delay for the upcoming Early Access launch of their dark fantasy RPG, King Arthur: Knight’s Tale. While originally set to launch on January 12, 2021, the developers have now pushed that date to January 26, 2021, citing “a few bumps” that still need to be ironed out.
In a retelling of the classic tale, King Arthur promises to deliver hybridized gameplay that combines turn-based strategy with character-centric RPG elements. Players will be able to amass a small band of heroes and choose among 30 different characters across five different classes, providing ample opportunity to mix and match the hundreds of available skills and artifacts. Players will have the opportunity to trek through more than 50 unique points of interest, complete 20 story missions and side quests, battle against seven enemy factions, and take on more than 50 types of different enemy units (with an additional 10 extra bosses).
King Arthur: Knight’s Tale will launch on PC (Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series X/S and will retail for $39.99.
